Welcome to St Andrew’s Church of England Primary School in Headington. We are a one form entry school that enjoy the benefits of living in close proximity to the powerful resource of Oxford. We recognise that everyone is special and everyone is different.

The school aims to foster the unique talents and skill of all its children and challenges itself to ensure that the curriculum is rich and stimulating and that the broad experiences available give every child an opportunity to grow in skills and confidence. This results in outstanding achievements in all aspects of school life as well as a strong sense of community which extends beyond the school gates to Headington.

The partnerships forged between the St Andrew’s Church, Governors, parents, Headington  Schools and St Andrew’s ensure that our commitment to being the ‘best we can be’ is resolute.

Kathryn Grainger, a Year 6 pupil wrote this -

"Situated in the heart of Headington, Oxford , the foundations of St Andrew's date back to the Victorian era; many original features, such as high windows and fireplaces, can still be found in classrooms. The school offers an abundance of resources and high-quality teaching, as well as a host of extra-curricular activities that push students outside their comfort zones and help them achieve their very best.

Underpinned by a strong Christian ethos (as a Church of England school) the St Andrew's principles are clear: friendship, justice, hope, forgiveness and trust. These virtues are modelled by well-rounded children, and highly educated staff. "

I look forward to welcoming you to St Andrew’s and hope you enjoy looking at our website.
