Celebrating Our Achievements

Every Friday, our school community comes together for our Celebration Assembly, a cherished time to recognise and celebrate the achievements of our children in line with our Christian Vision. We recognise those who have been “spotted” showing kindness and compassion as Good Samaritans, reflecting our commitment to loving and serving others. We also celebrate children who have demonstrated perseverance and effort in striving to “be the best that they can be,” encouraging them to use their unique gifts and talents to flourish. A unique Year 6 certificate is awarded by the pupils themselves to someone who has lived out our school values, reinforcing the importance of justice, friendship, trust and forgiveness. The prestigious Headteacher’s Award recognises a child who has shown significant growth during their time at St Andrew’s, celebrating their journey of personal and academic development. We take pride in celebrating external achievements, such as successes in sports, music, and other endeavours, encouraging all children to shine both within and beyond the school community. A much-loved part of our assembly is the Grown Up of the Week award, presented by the school council to an adult in school who has gone above and beyond. We also take a moment to recognise children's birthdays, ensuring everyone feels valued on their special day.

This is a highlight of our week, and once a term, we invite the parents of a class along to witness it.
