Trees in the playground project

The Pond Project Spring '25

The Green Team has big plans for our Nature Area – we want to add a pond to encourage more wildlife to visit and make our school even more eco-friendly! To raise the funds, we held a cake-themed bake sale, and thanks to the amazing support from everyone, we raised almost £200! Now that spring is here, we’re excited to get started on planning and building our pond. We can’t wait to see how it will help attract more animals and plants to our school. Watch this space for updates as we bring our pond project to life!

The Green Team then had a working party to install our new pond.

The first tadpoles were discovered in our pond.

Planting Trees

We do lots of different things in the school. Below are some pictures to show what we have done.

Reducing Energy Waste in School

We looked at pictures of the school and identified the things that needed energy to run. We talked about how to reduce our energy use.

Planting new plants in our tubs around the school

Survey of the Wild Area.

Environmental checklist.

Thinking about what to incorporate in our outdoor spaces in our Biodiversity project.

Checking all the taps in school for dripping and getting a plumber in to fix them so we can save water.
