Connect Week

During our 'Connect' Week, we connected with the World through raising money for WaterAid (a charity chosen by our Year 5s) in a Multi-Skills event led by our Year 5s. Each year group then connected with the local community in different ways, such as litter picking or creating art for the St Andrew's Care Home and Courtside Cafe in Bury Knowle Park. Finally, each class connected with families - through reading, culture & language, local trips and junk modelling.

British History Day

After a term of learning about Stone Age (Year 3), Romans (Year 4), Anglo-Saxons (Year 5) and Vikings (Year 6), including visits to museums, Friday 16th October was British History Day. Children came in costume, became immersed in a truly active learning experience and shared their learning in our celebration assembly at the end of the day.

Magdalen College School Football tournament

St Andrew's are the MCS Cup Winners 2026!!

On Wednesday 23rd September, Andy Masters took a mixed team of Year 5 & 6, boys & girls to Madaglen College School for a football tournament. The team played several matches against other local schools, got through to the finals and won!

We are really proud of the way they worked together as a team, as they'd not had practice at this before, and how well they represented St Andrew's. Congratulations to Esther L, Phillip, George, Dougie, Samar, Charlie, Tristan, Ismail, Oliver and Flossie.
